I would rate this game a 3 out of ten. Cute, intuitive, easy.
Here is why I will most definitely not be referring my students to this game.
This reenforces several misconceptions that students enter the biology classroom with:
1) that individuals, rather than populations evolve.
2) that adaptations aquired in one lifetime are passed to the next generation.
3) that evolutionary change is directional (toward particular traits) rather than in response to environmental pressures.
4) that evolutionary change is the result of individual effort rather than genetic change.
But a cute, intuitive, easy game, none the less.
